![]() The more rare and intelligent undead take the form of liches and vampires. The first three are also mainly created by necromancers as they usually lack intelligence, but there are known exceptions among zombies and skeletons. The most common species are zombies, skeletons, ghouls and creatures. The term 'undead' is a collective name for many different "species". Due to their dark nature, the more intelligent and sociable undead have to conceal themselves among the living.Īn undead's appearance depends on the state of the body and the magical power the being once had during its life as well as how it became undead: either naturally, by dealing in necromancy or alchemy or by being cursed. Do spread your melee line out! If you're hitting your other guys with healing poison for the undead, you're probably too close together entirely.Either brought back through necromancy or by other means, undead are cursed beings who have to roam the world until they are destroyed or somehow released. Most of the time the less intelligent undead serve as expendable slaves to the necromancers who have created them. Shattering the Desiccated Undead Xhaxh's soul jar after killing him. You also get an item early on in the game that lets you convert healing potions to poisons for free, so you won't be disadvantaged for self healing. ![]() Rain if he's burning, otherwise hit him with the poison wand to get a regen going-you're not forced to use ooze or Poison Dart to get it. ![]() I tryed twice using undead in my party and only idea where i can think it coud work is making all your melee undead or making your undead a caster with shield (aka deffy prob not gonna get targeted) but then he dont rly benefit at all from beeing undead and woud prob be better being any other raceĮh, Rain and a poison wand can deal with most of your concerns. Also if the AI focus your undead with a mix of fire and other stuff there is no real way to save him exept hide him.but then he can be dead for all i care becuse he is useless if i cant use him. The other problem is if your undead is melee (shoud prob be) and u use poison to heal him, u prob gonna spread that poison abit.and easly damage your other melee chars. ![]() I havent finished the game but bet theres prob some kind of fire level or atlteast some place with alot of fire enemies. Originally posted by Bijat:The main problem with undead is when enemies is using fire.otherwise they woud be great. So looking at at the trade off it kind of cancels each other out its not really a good thing and not really a bad thing.īut if you dont pick a regular human than you are missing out on the +to bartering for example and if you dont pick a regular else you are missing out on the ancestrial knowledge.Ī Elf has corpse eater and ancestrial knowledgeĪn undead elf has corpse eater and undead.Īs mentioned above the undead trait is not really a bonus in fact you might get more negatives when you consider the fact people will attack you on sight (without covering your bones) So when you consider you are now being damaged by healing spells and potions but are healed by posion it means its less of a bonus and more of a simple trade off on what heals you. Now here is the thing the Undead is really not a bonus it simply changes healing things to damaging you and posion to healing you. Like a human gets ingenious and thrifty thats + to initiative and + to barteringīut if you pick an undead human you get ingenious and undead. You actually get 2 traits with people who are NOT UNDEAD but undead really only get 1 trait when you consider what you are really getting. Looking at the "TRAITS" you get from mixing in undead vs using a regular human or elf for example. So from what I have seen is that picking a undead character is weaker than picking a standard race.
